Phantom setup - Mobile

This guide will help you create a new Phantom wallet on your mobile device.

Phantom is a secure and easy-to-use wallet for the Solana blockchain.

Download Phantom for Mobile​

  1. Visit the Download Page: Go to https://phantom.app/download and select the app store that matches your device (iOS/Android). Using the links on our official page ensures you're directed to the official Phantom application.

  2. Install the App: Follow the steps to download and install the application on your device.

  3. Open the App: After installing, open the app to begin the setup process.

Setting Up Your Mobile Wallet​

For New Users:​

  1. Create a New Wallet: Select "Create New Wallet."

  2. Enable Biometric Security: At the "Protect your Wallet" screen, enable biometric security (fingerprint or facial recognition) and click "Next." This ensures only you can access your wallet. We strongly recommend turning this feature on.

  3. Secure Your Secret Recovery Phrase: You'll be presented with your Secret Recovery Phrase (also known as a 'seed phrase'). Store it in a safe and secure location.

Important

Anyone with access to your Secret Recovery Phrase can access your wallet's funds. Losing your Secret Recovery Phrase means losing access to your wallet and its funds. Phantom team members will never ask for your Secret Recovery Phrase. The Secret Recovery Phrase is the only way to recover your wallet.

  1. Proceed: After securing your Secret Recovery Phrase, select "Continue" to proceed.

For Existing Users:​

  1. Restore Wallet: Click on "I already have a wallet."

  2. Enable Biometric Authentication: If applicable, enable biometric authentication.

  3. Enter Secret Recovery Phrase: Input your Secret Recovery Phrase to restore your wallet.

  4. Get Started: Click on "Get Started" to start using Phantom.

Note: You can enable notifications to get instant updates about your wallet activity. These can be customized in the Phantom app under Settings > Notifications.

Accessing Your Mobile Wallet​

  • Locate Phantom: Find the Phantom icon on the top right-hand side of your mobile device.

  • Missing Icon?: If you don't see Phantom, click the puzzle piece icon to access your mobile device's extensions and locate Phantom.

  • Pin Phantom: Click the pin icon next to Phantom to make it visible in the extension bar for easy access.
